The school is a one story, 2,240 square foot, wood framed building, located in a residential neighborhood, situated on a site that borders the Pacific Ocean. Sustainable design elements include minimal site impact, the use of reclaimed and non-toxic materials, extensive day-lighting, passive cooling and ventilation, radiant floor heat, and solar mounted roof panels. The project was executed primarily as pro bono service. |
