Style and sustainability meet at West Elm's new 14,500 square foot eco space, the company's green flagship, which was built using low-VOC paints, reclaimed hardwood floors, skylights, solar panels, and low-flow plumbing fixtures. One of the store's most impressive features is the living roof, designed by the same company that installed the living roof at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. The project highlights our ongoing commitment to work towards compliance with LEED criteria for many of our retail projects and to offer sustainable solutions to design and construction concerns. |
